S80 T6 Overheating S80 1999

Anyone had overheating problems with their S80?

Mine is not running fan intermitently.

Temp guage goes over to the red, so the dealer says the sender circuit is ok.

Apparantly the sender talks to the ECU, and the ECU drives the temp guage and the Fan.

They suspect the fan assy.

Its not using any water/ coolant.

Any suggestions as to areas to investigate welcome.

There have been problems with the fan module. This, of course, is stitched and molded to the entire fan ass'y, so you get to replace the whole thing. Fan, Module, Shroud, etc.
