Bought this on a lark to see if it would clear my SRS light.
It did.
It also said I had too high resistance on front side AB. so the light will probably come back.
But it did work as advertised so far.

    Really nice! What other areas besides the ECM does it scan?

    What year is this car? You have 3 of them.

    The slow response could be a little corrosion in the AB plug. Just disconnect the battery before checking that out, no need for another SRS problem.

      This car is new to me, and arrived with the srs light on.
      could be the result of a disconnect while bat was connected, an open circuit would certainly produce high resistance.

      I have driven about 20 miles since srs reset and all seems well.

          Just cleared the srs code on the 99 V70.
          It did not give me the info about what the problem was. I am
          still figuring the device out. The manual is a little sketchy.

            The scanner protocals changed between 99 and 04, the 04 uses CAN and the 1999 still used OBDII. It's a good thing the SRS light turned off, too bad that the code wasn't available.

            But this is a good thing to know for others that are looking for a reasonably priced scanner with their 'newer' Volvos. Thanks for the feedback!

              Just used the scanner to diag the CEL on the 99V70. It did not show a code, rather it told me that the front 02 sensor was not heating.

                Just as good as a garbage scanner that shows P0130 - O2 sensor1 bank1.

      You call up the make, it does both saab and volvo
      then you call up model
      year,
      then it can do a manual scan where you scroll though and select from many options which you want to scan.

      I have:
      99 V70
      99 XC70
      04 V70
      only tested it on the 04.

      my 99 v70 has srs light also, i will check that later today.
