While working to remove the center console heater control system, I had to move the transmission lever to neutral with the ignition on. I was in the passenger seat without the seat belt fastened. After reassembly of the center console, I received the ORANGE Triangle warning sign with the message SRS-Service airbag urgent.

I have tried to remedy this issue by disconnecting the battery for a minute or 2 and also pressing the reset button at the end of the turn signal stalk. But the warning still exists.

How do I turn this warning message off as I know the airbag system was not tampered with?

The SRS warning can only be turned off by a good scanner, usually at a dealership that will charge you 1 hour of labor. Disconnecting the battery will only clear codes from the engine and tranny computers.

I used that scanner to clear SRS light on 04 V70 & 99 V70. both have been clear for a few weeks now.

If you are local to Washington D.C. i can read and erase that light for you, i have a scanner that does it.
