Hi,
When we bought our `04 back in May the previous owner only gave us one key with a remote. Been thinking that we should probably get a couple of spares but don`t need a remote. Dealer quote was $200 for a key which sounds pretty crazy. Are there alternatives available?

$200 is a 'reasonable' price for a new key. Mostly dealer only, especially in your neck of the high plains. The key, remote, all have to be 'reprogrammed' to your car. It takes all of 15 minutes -- what a customer ripoff.

But, if you loose the only key...

Did a little more research after my post & yeah, $200 does sound like a "deal".
You`re right, Klaus, "If you lose the ONLY key!".
Will get in touch with the former owner but may have to bite the bullet.
