Lack of AWD V70-XC70

Just found out it will cost me $2500 to get my AWD working. I am tempted to go with front wheel drive only. Any reason not to?

Lack of AWD V70-XC70

What year? What was the diagnosis?

If you remove the prop shaft and go to FWD, winter driving will be compromised. But so will wet slippery roads - you will notice torque steer for the first time.

Your acceleration will improve and your MPG will also go up. Until you put on real snow tires.

No experience, but I have read many posts from people who did the same thing for the same reason.

The only reason I have seen not to is if you want to keep AWD.
