no start, no codes? 850 1997

So, of course, the girlfriends 97 850 GLT fails to start late this afternoon. It'll just crank and crank. Started fine Friday when it was parked. After monkeying with it for past 2 hours, I'm totally baffled.

So here's what I've checked:
- one non-significant code (P0108)
- fuel pressure at rail and fuel pump audible
- ignition coil (even swapped in a spare coil I had)
- rotor and cap (rotor ~1200 ohm resistance IIRC)
- Pulled a plug and verified spark at plug as well
- Pulled CPS, which I replaced ~1 year ago, and it was clean and the pickup looked unscathed.

The last time I had this happen, the CPS was bad (the pickup had actually broken and bent the camshaft follower), but I knew that because it was throwing a code for it. Is it possible the CPS is bad, but the computer isn't detecting it? Anything else I should try?

Thanks!

I agree with David. You can have fuel at the rail, but the injector relay,
(Volvo calls it something else) is at the radiator and needs to be working to enable the injectors.

If you have fuel at the rail, and dry plugs, then you can focus on that relay
    above the radiator.

Fuel pump relay is the most common (located in the under the hood fuse box). A second possibility is the fuel injector relay (located on the radiator). I did have a CPS problem that initially didn't trip a code, but ultimately that was the problem.

Try unplugging the maf sensor on the air box and crank. If it starts that's ur problem.
