I also wonder about your mileage.

Note - I checked my mileage on two trips from Massachusetts to Minnesota and back, and the computer was within .1 MPG of my calculations both times.

I always use a credit card to purchase fuel and I write the odometer reading on each slip.

I keep the slips in an old check folder, along with a pencil and store it in the driver's door.

So... what kind of gas mileage did you get? Of course the ride was nicer than the 1995 850T, the 2008 is 13 years newer!

My post was compromised by using my phone. Won't do that again.

Mileage? First trip was 385 or so miles, just my wife and I. I reset the average mileage before starting and can report 24.2mpg. Cruising mostly around 70-75mph, flat road, Michelin Pilots at 35psi.

Second trip was the whole family of four and a 90lb dog, Christmas presents and luggage. 650 miles, mostly 80mph except through torrential rain and high wind, where speed was around 65mph. Played with the autostick a bit and revved it out coming out of rest stops a couple of times. Mileage displayed was 22mpg.

Works for me. I didn't buy it for economy. At 80 it's like a private jet. Smooth, comfortable and quiet with a little engine hum.

Love this car, but keeping that tan leather clean is going to be a chore. If I go with an XC70 for myself it will have a black interior.

      Erwin

Just returned from a MA-NJ trip in my friend's 2011 XC70 T6. Got 27.2 MPG also at 70-75 mph with 3 adults in the car, a trunk full of luggage and some traffic. Remarkable! You might do better in the future. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised...

It is a really nice, long distance cruiser!
