Exhaust cam solenoid issue - replaced - new symptom V70-XC70

So I acquired a 05 XC70. 70k on it. Excellent condition. Fast forward two weeks ago, Check engine - -0079 Exhaust Solenoid Bank1. Car bucked a few times over a couple days. Rare but did it.

Replaced the solenoid with a new OEM. Cleared codes. Car runs well - except every so on there's a studder in the performance. Feels like a misfire. No codes show.

Only happens when car is warm. Could the belt have jumped a tooth on the exhaust side with the bad solenoid?
Any and all advice greatly appreciated.

Thx

jk

Timing belts never 'jump'.

I suspect that you might have a failing coil or fuel pump. Check the PEM for water damage, as it controls the fuel pressure.

Fuel pump was replaced on the XC70 by dealer when we purchased it.
Where would I find the PEM?
And lastly - thank you again Klaus. You are a wallet saver.

For 2005 and up it is in the trunk, for 2004 it is next to the fuel filter, right rear wheel.

Usually, when that fails, there is an error code as the pressure drops. Also, check the pressure sensor, also an error code associated.

I still bet on a fouled spark plug or failing coil.
