removing door handles 850

looked all over. know i need to remove the two screws. and then poke around in the little hole. What am i trying to release in the hole? An how do I release it?

    Before you take the two torx screws out, put the key in the door lock, use a small screwdriver to depress the spring plate, then pull the lock out of the door handle with the key.

    If you wish to take the handle off, "Loosen" the two door lock mounting screws, remove both small torx screws next to the hole for the spring plate, then take the door handle off. The front is on a pivot point, so the locking end of the handle pulls out.
