Throttle Body Stuck open!! New one replaced and problem persists!! V70-XC70 2006

SO I had the throttle body replaced and the problem seems to have come back!
BTW I also had the little harness replaced also!
Well any way got the car home drove it, first time and same message came up and went into limp mode and same as before! Going to check out codes tomorrow.
Also for those who may suggest a new Mass Air Meter, I replaced that a couple of months ago.
What to do now?
PS the car is a v70 2.5t with 180k.

I would take a look at throttle by wire.

    Did a dealer diagnose this?

Codes have to be interpreted according to a decision tree, and dealer techs know more about some issues than they let on.

Back up, and describe the original symptoms.
It sounds like it could be a mechanical bind, maybe a throttle cable,
    but there's not enough info.

      Hi Bill,

Forgot to say thank you for giving me that part info on my CV joint in my previous post!

Hey, just an FYI, not trying to be a PITA...:) Mechanical throttles ended in the 1998 model year on 5 cylinder Volvos.

To the OP: We need more info please. After reading the code(s) let us know what the number(s) is and an exact text description. Oh, one more thing. Have you thoroughly checked for vacuum leaks? I believe any significant air leak might reek havoc with the electronic throttle module. BTW - Was it the electronic throttle module and throttle body that was replaced or just the throttle body?

      Jim
