Check Engine Light doesn´t go away V70-XC70 2002

Hello everyone!!

So i have had a problem with my V70 XC Cross Country this whole year and it is that the check engine light keeps turning on even if the error code gets erased, I have taken it to the Volvo garage but it does not disappears, it recently had its complete service done to it, I changed the alternator, the radiator, cleaned the turbocharger, replaced the injectors it is in almost perfect mechanical shape but according to the Volvo mechanic it should not even work.
Any ideas that can help?

Thanks

"according to the Volvo mechanic it should not even work." WHAT?

There has to be an error code to turn the CEL on. The "Volvo" mechanic should have told you the code(s) he found. Older code readers, or really cheap ones, do not work with CAN/BUS systems.

What codes are you getting???

You can start by checking the wires at the code source. I recently had a purge valve that will not clear with the scanner. The problem was the wire it was broken inside the plug.

I actually changed the valve because it was indeed broken, but it wasn't that either, trouble is that there is no real error code from the engine.
