Tint application V70-XC70

The windows of my v70 appear to have been tinted after market. The front ones seem to be taking life hard. Is there a process for removing it? I suppose I will have to replace it in order to match the rest of the car. My Saabs had factory tinted glass that was perfect. Just enough to make life comfortable and never any issues.
Also anyone that has experience with changing out the audio deck in the early ('98) v70s might advise the process. Crutchfield claims to have a dash kit but those are not always as they seem. It seems like someone could do alright rebuilding the stock CD changers! The tape deck works well but who used cassettes after 1990?
Thanks!
B

The window should be lightly tinted by the factory. After market tints are a plastic film that can be removed with a razor and alcohol.

If your CD player no longer works, try a cleaner disk first.

The cleaning disc was my initial effort. Many, if not most of them are questionable but so long as they do not introduce liquids into the deck, they are not doing any harm. The one I used is recommended for all optical readers in general but did nothing to improve the incessant skipping. Usually an indication of poor disc management and/or read assembly fatigue in pro audio decks.
It appears that these windows are tinted much as the Saab ones were! I guess I have to determine if I want to go to all of that hassle to remove all of the other applied tint or have the front two re-tinted. There are places that do that nearby.
      Thanks Klaus!
