Time for new plugs and coil modules??? V70-XC70 2000

I changed the plugs and coil modules on my '00 V70 XC/SE about 60K miles ago.

I noticed recently that the car takes one or two more cranks to start it than I remember it typically did and I'm thinking about changing the plugs and coil modules.

Is the stock still the best plug out there for the 2.4? Are Volvo coil modules worth the extra $$$ or is there an aftermarket vendor with a better module these days?

For those of us with limited funds, keeping a spare coil with the spare tire along with a 10mm wrench is all that is required. Spark plugs do wear out and 60K miles is a lot of wear. I suggest copper core plugs gapped at .028

Changing the plugs won't hurt. Coils should still be good unless you used cheapo knockoffs. Our '04 had one coil go bad in 13 years / 210,000 miles. If you can get Volvo branded plugs for a reasonable price, they work fine. Otherwise I like NGK.
