Top engine mount worn??? V70-XC70 2000

I was under the hood of the V70 today and noticed that top engine mount can slightly slide side to side. Is this normal or should the bushing be tight in it's space? If it is time to replace it, is there a better alternative to stock?

Also, a couple of the tangs broke off the coil connectors while I was changing the coils today. Can I assume the connectors will stay it or do I need to replace these connectors somehow?

I'll check on IPD on Monday. Sounds like a need a new mount!

I also have replaced the stock mount with IPD's plastic mount. It is much easier than stock and I have noticed no vibration difference in any of my cars.

There is very little pressure/tension on the coil clips, you should be OK.

If the mount can move side to side it is toast. Does the top of the engine itself move more than before? Take a good look at the mount's rubber. If it is badly cracked that is another indication that it is replacement time.

IPDUSA.com sells a stiffer replacement for the factory mount. Some say that the IPD mount transfers more vibration to the passenger compartment than the OE mount. I had one on my 93 850. I didn't notice anymore vibration.
