story and question V70-XC70 1998

Hello,
Just wanted to relay that my trusty v70 [well my son's these days] with 198k just finally wore out the RH CV axle boot. I have replaced the LH side at least twice before. Anyhow I chose a local autozone reman axle this time [$57 plus $25 core]. I was pleasantly surprised with the initial quality except the cheesy axle nut/washer combo. [I used an oem Volvo one I place of it]. The car fought hard to give up the old one since it has never been removed but with a garage full of tools [yes, I used nearly all of them on this job] it took about 3hrs to set it correct including cleaning up all the grease slung everwhere.

Finally, though, as I was buttoning up the job with a little transmission fluid top off, I noticed a small coolant leak at the radiator. I am guessing the plastic tanks are about to go. I don't plan on buying a Volvo radiator $$$ for such an old high mileage care but do want one that will at least last a couple of years. What are your experiences with the Nissen, Bosch, ebay knockoffs etc? It is a NA 2.4L automatic.
