2007 V50 stall but no CEL V50

Today as I was taking off from a left turn light, my wife hit turned the AC on as I was turning. When I made the turn I noticed that the engine had died. I pulled off the road and re-started the engine. No running problems and no CEL.

We ran our errands and no problems.

When I got home I attached my reader and no codes stored or pending.

Weird? An intermittent, one time event....I'm not sure where to look. Any ideas?

Check for a broken top motor mount. The engine could have shifted just enough to loosen the serp belt and kill the alternator while the AC clutch engaged.

Thanks for the reply.

That motor mount was replaced 10,000 miles ago.

I still don't feel comfortable that the local Volvo dealer did the extended warranty 205 work well. June 2016 I took the car to have the extended warranty 205 work completed and I found that they did not install all the parts that are covered under 205. They didn't replace the hose or replace with new intake gaskets. After e-mails to the dealer, they offered to install the new hose and supposedly new intake gaskets. I could see and feel the new hose but have no idea if they ever replaced the intake gaskets. One of the items in the #205 part bulletin calls for replacement of volvo part 30637438 (5) but originally the dealer didn't replace them. What else didn't they do correctly and now may be appearing?

E-mail sent to them June 2016

Yes I will accept your offer to replace the hose. I am sorry that I am causing you extra work but iI feel that it should have been replaced as part of the warranty repair.

Now I am starting to worry about the intake gasket. If the intake needs to be removed again, will another removal cause stress to the intake gasket and lead to early failure. I’ll stop by to schedule a time to have the repair completed.>>

That PCV hose replacement... VIDA calls for intake manifold to be removed, but it can be replaced with the manifold in place. Use a flashlight to check the bottom of the hose and make sure it is clamped.

The intake gasket does not need to be replaced every time the manifold is removed, only if it is torn or damaged. Use a Sharpie in an out of sight area to mark parts that are supposed to be replaced(?).

I know the hose is clamped because the dealer had first used a zip tie on it and I complained so they used a clamp.

Finally this afternoon the car threw a code. PO193 which is a fuel rail sensor?

I know where the fuel pressure regulator is on my other cars but I'll need to find the fuel pressure sensor on the V50.
