Tire size V70-XC70 2004

Tires, will 235/65 R16 fit on 2004 XC70 without problems? Has anyone run this setup? Thanks

Try this:
https://tiresize.com/calculator/

The 235's are 1 inch taller, 1 inch wider, and your speedometer will get you a speeding ticket!

Normal rule of thumb when changing tread width, change the aspect ratio (second number) accordingly.

If you are doing this for snow, forget it. A wider tire will float easier on top of the snow instead of digging down to the pavement. Snow = narrow tires. But seldom do people drive through a lot of snow consistently, there are snow plows for that. And 1 or 2 inches of wet snow don't count.

Wider tires are for dry pavement. They let you toss the car around the twisties without losing control. But larger diameter tires will lift the car and all that fun could be too exciting!

Thanks, your link provided just the sort of info I was looking for. I'm going to stay with the standard issue tire size.
