Removable rear seats? V70-XC70

The rear seats of my 2004 V70 can be removed entirely from the car. To accommodate our dog, I removed them and installed a platform so she'd be more comfortable on trips. As it's about time to retire the 2004, I'll probably look into an XC70 as a replacement. Does anyone know if the rear seats in that model can be removed? Thanks.

Unless you have very long legs, like me, and need the front seats to be positioned as far back as possible and the seat back leaned even farther back, I see no need to remove the seats. The seats fold FLAT and the netting can still be used from the folded seat to the roof.

The XC70 and V70 are identical in seat construction.

I needed to remove the seats because we have a St Bernard / Newfoundland mix and she requires a lot of space. Putting a platform behind the front seats that uses up the entire back space, gives her more room. So I assume they do come out in the XC70.

Literally this statement makes no sense unless you can give us some sort of explanation about how this is different than folding the rear seat completely flat...is this platform below the height of the cargo floor of the wagon just making the footwell flat?

Either way, all seats in all cars are removable. It is just a question of how difficult it is.

FYI, former owner of a Newfie, Bernese and three other giant breeds (I rescue senior giants). Current owner of a St Bernard, Dane/Hound/Lab/something mix (13 months old and 2" taller than my SB), Pyr/Collie mix and Gus, the little 55# Border Collie mix. I can carry any three at the same in back of my 940 wagon on extended trips. This with two of the giants being seniors that need one of the seat bottoms not folded just to get into the back without assistance. So...yeah, the folded flat rear seat is plenty unless the dog is special needs.
