central locking suddently completely stopped ...

...working! noticed this yesterday evening when buttoning down the car parked in the driveway for the night after carrying bulky long load in the car. Locking also not working this a.m. Car is a '96 850 GLT manual transmission.

Neither keyless push-button nor dashboard rocker switch is locking or unlocking the doors/trunk etc. now. Maybe knocked something loose in the cabin or trunk? Will check fuse and look around w/flashlight right after lunch today. Am posting now this stage anyhow. Like to post on Brickboard (!).

central locking suddently completely stopped ...

am self-replying, problem is fixed. Fuse was blown. Replaced fuse. This was the right fix! Blown fuse was 10a. Sticker on underside of fuse box lid says 25a is the proper amperage. R&R'ed with the spare 25a fuse. Tested. Central locking working fine again.

Am not the first owner of this car. Have owned and been driving this car 1 1/2 years with the 10 amp fuse in slot 6 cental locking, and I use the cental locking on the car all the time. PO did a lot of his own work, even pretty much made his own exhaust system (!). Exhaust is regulation now.
