1996 Volvo 850: Cooling Fan Continues to Run After Car is Shutoff 850

My 1996 Volvo 850 cooling fan continues to run after car is shutoff. Car was only driven for 10 minutes in cold weather. Could this be a faulty thermostat or a faulty coolant temperature sensor?.... Any advice will be appreciated.

    The ECT sensor also displays the temp on the dash.

    If the thermostat is closed, the engine will over heat.

    If the antifreeze has frozen, it will not circulate.
    --
    Keeping it running is better than buying new
