I recently traded in my 2008 xc70. I have perfectly good Volvo alloys with winter tires with lots of tread. A potential buyer wanted to know if the wheels will fit a 2008 s40 . Any thoughts?

The last time I used Volvo's site, I found that they had quite a comprehensive listing of accessory alloy wheels for each year and various models with specs for same.

You might be able to match the wheels to the car.

In my research, I found that my Volans from a '96 855R would fit our '08, and '12 XC70s - just a 5mm difference in offset!

The lug pattern is the same, as is the center bore. The wheel size and load rating are probably different depending on options. The XC70 usually comes with 7.5 wide rims, the S40 comes with 7.0 width.

You didn't specify the tire sizes or the load rating which would help.

I suspect the wheels/tires would fit the S40, unless you have 18" wheels.
