Old wheels on newer model? V70-XC70 2009

I have a set of rims with snow tires that I ran on my 2007 XC70, which are about an inch smaller in overall diameter compared to the all seasons on my newer 2009 XC70.
Any problem with using the smaller tires on the 2009?

If you have not put the wheels on the car yet, you should inflate the tires properly and measure their circumferences to check for mismatch.

I would do the same for the tires that you take off to be safe.

Using those figures, you could calculate speedometer error

Without knowing the actual tire sizes, I would say go ahead and mount the older wheels. The speedo will be a bit off, but you save the newer rims from salt.
