OEM vs. aftermarket S70 1998

front oxygen sensor on the way out...been spraying with Kroil for eventual removal...stop the PO 133 code...was under the impression OEM was the way to go with sensors...don't mind the money so much if reliability is that much better with a Volvo part vs. Pacific rim cheapos...thanks all

trying to save the $$$ again...

Tom

I replaced the front O2 sensor on my 1998 with a Bosh plugin from Amazon, around $85. No reason it will die any sooner than a Volvo branded version.

      Klaus is right,

Bosch is the original mfgr, I found the best price on Ebay.

Good luck Changing it. Mine came out hard after heating cherry red with
oxy/aceetylene and a 14" Pipe wrench on it. You could hear a high pitched screech as it reluctantly came out. Use the hi-temp never-seez when re-installing, and it's a good idea to tap the fitting first.
(The tap needed is a 14MM.... also useful to clean out cruddy sparkplug threads)

      Good luck, Bill
