Driver's window stuck down V70-XC70 1998

I'm trying to help my daughter from four hours away. She put her driver's side window down at a toll booth and it won't go up. Other windows seem to be working, so I am thinking it's not a fuse. I thought I might send her a used (but working) master window switch from a pick-n-pull, but I am wondering what else it could be. Is there a suggestion about how she might troubleshoot to get at the issue?

Thanks, as always!

If she can get the window glass back up into position, duct tape it into closed position, do not use window until blocks replaced. The glide blocks are inexpensive. Regulators which lift and lower the glass much more expensive. Don't bend the regulator with further use.

If it is a broken window guide, she will notice that the glass is slightly crooked and not level with the top of the door body. Also a lot of rattling when closing the door. If she cannot get a good grip on the exposed glass to try to pull upwards, she may have to take the door panel off.

Easiest is to try a new switch, I hope yours is in the mail already.

Since there's a good chance a window "glider" has broken (thus jamming the window) I suggest she should at least try holding the glass with strong tongs (silicone kitchenware perhaps) and pulling up whilst holding the switch in the up position. Give it some shake-action.
    Has she tried that?
