I think I may have found the next car for my stable. It's a 2005 XC70 with 172K miles. Seems to be in very good condition, asking $3450, which seems a fair price. Any thoughts on what to look out for? Is this a model/year that I can (in general) trust?

    Seems a tad high for the miles to me too.
    Any details of sale? private, dealer...new tires+brakes....any repair history available?
    Did you drive it?

    Good year, mileage too high - IMO... Should be able to find one for that price with much lower miles. Car is 13 years old.

      I'd think so, too, but I am not finding any at a comparable price. Finding some with fewer miles at higher prices. I am kind of thinking that this car, if cared for, might be good for another 70-80K miles. Never had a car go that long, though, so maybe I am being overly optimistic.
