Adjusting headlight levels? V70-XC70 2005

Just drove our new (to us) '05 xc90 at night for the first time. It appeared that the headlights might be aimed low. Is there a way to adjust? My '98 V70s (both) have a bubble level and an adjustment device. Not seeing an obvious equal on this new car.

The above should work for your lights also. I suggest you give both 1 full turn clockwise.

The reason the XC90 headlights don't shine down the road is because of the height of the lights. If you were to have the beam coming straight from the headlight, you would light up the interior of any sedan in front of you.

Check the high beams after adjustment, they may be too high and not point down the road.

Try the XC90 forum.

I've only replaced a bulb in an XC but I did notice that the headlight assembly was different from my V70.
I recall the sheet metal pull-to-release tabs but little else.

If there are parts to turn I respectfully suggest giving them a shot of thin lube (like plain silicone spray) beforehand.
