1997 850 GLT.
Is it possible to swap the front seat bottom cushions from left to right.
Driver side is power, while the passenger side is manual.
I know the seat backs are not because of the built-in airbags.

When you do do the seat work, note that you can adjust the height of the bottom a couple of inches.

I remember having to unbolt the seat to change the seat height on my 122 .....

Aren't there any pick&pull yards close to you? The answer to your question is yes. But the foam cushion is hard to remove compared to finding a 1998 S/V70 with a decent driver's seat.

A passenger seat skin from a 1998-2000 will also fit the 850 driver seat bottom. The top skins cannot be swapped because of the hole for the lumbar adjustment.

One of these days I want to measure the seat skins from a newer, 2001+, and see if they would fit the 850.
