speedo/odo function....or not.. S70 1998

'98 with 130k...left work this afternoon, driving to store, notice no speedo/odo function...all other gauges working as they should...get to store, shop, get back to car, row shifter about a dozen times, and turn key from position 0 to position 2 an equal number..leave parking lot, back to normal...halfway into a 15 minute trip, dies once more, again, other gauges fine..my query...worn out ignition switch?...PNP switch, if I even have one...???...enquiring minds wanna know...

    Because the speedometer signal goes through the ABS module, I would suspect the module needs to be re soldered. There are a few outfits that do this. I have used two of them and this one is probably closer to your home:

      ABS been out for a while Klaus...hasn't seemed to affect speedo operation at all..except this time..will go down that road, and get the module repaired off of my to do list...thanks for the input..
