Removal of Visor, No Alarm? 850 1997

My frustration with a drivers side visor continually falling down and obstructing my vision caused me to cut the wires and remove it. In my haste, I am now left with no alarm lights and a constant "dinging".

Can I connect the two thin wires that I cut to stop the dinging?

I am purcuasing a visor clip as well.

Thanks

I would find a pick&pull yard and get a 'new' visor, with enough wire to splice into the existing wire in the A pillar. The connector for the 850's is below the dash and cannot be pulled up, the 1999-2000 have the connector in the A pillar. Unfortunately, in order to remove your A pillar cover, the B pillar cover must be loosened first.

I have no idea why the cutting of the two wires would effect the alarm system, unless bare wire is touching the frame. Do not connect the wires to each other, that will drain the battery like a runny nose.
