I have the same problem with all three v-70 that I own (2 2000's and 1 2004), power steering fluid seeps past the fill cap seal on the reservoirs. On two of them, the problem is nothing more than a minor irritation requiring little more than an occasional wiping off of the black casing, but from one of them, (my daily driver) I get considerable spots on the street (I don't dare park it in my driveway, each time I drive it. Has anyone suffered from this same seepage syndrome, and if so , is there a practical fix?

One of our cars tends to get rather messy/sticky on the outside of the reservoir. Rather than leaking out of the cap I suspect the seam around the reservoir's belt line is leaking. (Some hydraulic fluids are pretty good at creeping up hill when there's a leak.)

I've also found that the hose clamp(s) need periodic tightening for some reason - possibly the fluid acts on the rubber???

I totally agree with periodic tightening of the hose clamp. I’ve seen a V70 and my old 240 leak from where the low pressure hose attaches to the reservoir. And the other end too!
