Can anyone recommend a repair shop in Williamsburg, VA? 850 1996

Hello All,

I have a 1996 850 GLT wagon(5 speed manual) with 410,00 miles on the odometer. The car is well maintained and everything works on it. My daughter wants to take this car back to school with her to William & Mary College in Williamsburg, VA in September. Can any one recommend a private garage (or Volvo dealership) located in or near Williamsburg, VA that my daughter could bring this Volvo for servicing? William & Mary is right next to Colonial Williamsburg.

Thanks in advance to all who respond. I appreciate your assistance.

Hugh

Hugh,

I'm not sure if you'll read this because the original posting is from June.

I don't live in the Williamsburg/Hampton Roads area of Virginia but I do live in Northern VA, where I work just across the river from the District.

I have been using (and volunteering at) a most outstanding private garage in Fairfax, VA, for the last eight years, called Swedish Import Service, Inc. The owner/mechanic of the shop is a Mark Weisman, who has operated the garage for nearly 30 years. He is an ASE-Certified Master Technician who specializes in Volvos. The brand makes up 98.5% of his business (the rest is Saab).

At any rate, I have sent many people to Mark over the years, with outstanding results. If your daughter is able and willing to make a drive up to Fairfax once in a while, have her get in touch with him. He's on Yelp and Google Reviews, and would love to hear from either you or her. Thanks.
