turn signal...gaskets? S70

'98 S70...during on those rare clear CNY fall days, took car to car wash...during the foaming brush sequence, noted soap building up with the turn signal housing...is there a gasket between outer lens and the rest of the housing, or are a new pair of turn signals in my future?

thanks all

Tom

I would check the rubber gasket where the bulb goes into the housing.

If you find a crack in the plastic, just glue it shut.

If you pull out the turn signal housing, don't put a lot of down pressure on the plastic locking tab. The plastic is old and easy to break. Once broken, you will need a new turn signal housing.

The lenses are probably glued on.

We lost a lens off our '90 745 GL in Canada on a trip - I found that the other side was ready to go.

Do not try to clean the reflective coating inside the light beyond gently flushing it with water if you do take the lens off.

If you cannot get the water out, drill hole at the lowest point of the housing flush it out and put a rubber plug in (or dict tape?}.
