Passenger side rear door will not open. V70-XC70 2004

The rear passenger door on my 2004 V70 will not open by pulling either the inside or outside door handles. Pushing electric the lock unlock button has no effect. When the door is closed I can not access the small pins to pull off the inside panel. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Could this problem be a computer issue?

Like the driver's window that goes up again on occasion when I put it down in our 08 XC70.

My dealer has corrected this issue several times.

I ask them to fix it when it happens too often and really annoys me.

Could you roll the window and try sticking a coat hanger or something down there and move the lock?

Someone suggested to unbolt the door hinges to pull it away from the car enough to pop the pins. Better have a 1 gallon bucket to rest the door on - it is quite heavy. And how to get the electrical connector and door stay disconnected was not discussed.

The 4 pins that hold the inside panel to the door frame are plastic. All you need to do is push the center pins in to loosen the fastener.

It would be nice to find a Pick&Pull and get a rear door, with a working latch. Then you wouldn't care about ruining the panel on your car. Plus, you would get another latch motor to work on.

To remove the whole door, Volvo design has an E torx screw in the hinge(2), which when loosened will allow you to just lift the door off the car (after removing the T40 from the door stay and the electrical connector.

A 1 gallon bucket works great to prop the door close to the car. Do not rest the good door on concrete, it will scratch the door frame!

Well once the stay at home order is lifted I can go to the local yank a part and get a door. I am going to have to pretty pick destroy the inside panel to get the old door off. Your answer is kind of what I expected. Thanks
