Oil cooler V70-XC70

‘06 V70 180K, got it a couple months back missed having a wagon. I think the oil cooler is leaking where it mates to the back of the oil pan. Is the best bet to go ahead replace oil cooler and cooling inlet and return line in that case I have to drain coolant and oil, any other maintenance I should do when have a chance. Main cooling hoses look and feel good, no issues with overheating (even running ice cold AC in Southern heat).

Thanks,
Miles

I have seen the 2 seals listed on parts sources and their fitting appears real simple.

They looked like 2 pieces of hose only 3/16" long which get squeezed between the pan and cooler.

If yours is turbocharged there's an oil return line back there which has a gasket where it contacts the block which does leak sometimes.

Thanks I found the seals on several websites, what I’m not sure about is whether the oil cooler itself should be replaced or seals and hoses is enough and re-use oil cooler currently on car.

No one has ever posted about a leaking or even rusted/corroded oil cooler (immanent leak condition) in all the "web reading" I've done.

Heaven knows I'm no expert....I don't even know what flows through where in those things or even how big they are inside the pan.

If all it takes to remove one are those 2 screws, it's a safe gamble to clean, inspect and reuse the old one if found to be OK.
