Car has xenon headlamps. Normally in daylight the xenon headlamps go off & DRL's come on and DIM brightens. Now the headlights stay on, and the DIM leds stay dim. Also discovered that front parking lights do not work. I have swapped relays CMI 4, 5 &6 on CEM with no changes. There is no obstruction of the red led on the dash, which I assume is the sensor, it's in full sunlight. How can I resolve this problem? Thanks.

I think I solved the problem. I had placed my code reader on the center console in front of the gearshift. It appeared to be blocking a small window in the console. When I removed the code reader, the problem resolved.

Yeh, the red LED on the top of the dash is your security warning light.

Keeping it running is better than buying new
