Power lock issues V70-XC70 2000

In the space of two weeks the tail gate power lock stopped working and the left rear door power locks started operating intermittently. These locks are all original.

I wonder if this is a common problem at this vintage and If I should consider replacing all the door locks while they are still available -- I am assuming they are all still available.

Could there be a power lock control module at fault or just the door locks themselves.

    Tail gate locks tend to fail about the time the struts start failing - the constant slamming shut is not good for the lock. Look in the pick&pulls for a replacement lock, be nice to have a spare. It could also be a wiring problem in the hinge area.

    While at the P&P, look for a driver door lock module - all door signals go through there.
