My left rear door lock stopped working and I've order the replacement part -- I'm happy that it is still available.

I did have a close look at the door panel and see that it is starting to come apart almost like the glue is giving up.

What is the best way to remove these older door panels? Is there a good adhesive I can use to help glue them together once I get them off?

As the vinyl dries, it shrinks. The glue works great, but the foam backing dries up and comes loose. There are people who have cutout the panel, taken it to an upholstery shop and had the vinyl replaced with something better. Or some lucky ones who have found door panels from an "R" which are much better.

Keeping it running is better than buying new
