Changing to synthetic oil

After viewing kcookvt's post about oil treatments and synthetic oil - I have the following question about changing to synthetic,

Has anyone considered a slow change-over.

Do an oil change with one quart of synthetic, then the next change with two quarts of synthetic, etc, until the change is full synthetic.

what do you think of this?

Changing to synthetic oil

Waste of time and worry. Just change it over to synthetic, your engine will be happier and you don't have to remember or count oil changes for the next 2 years.

Changing to synthetic oil

It was some time ago but I have heard of doing a gradual changeover. There is a strategy for doing it that way but I forget exactly what it is. Maybe gradually introducing synthetic is supposed to help prevent the seals from leaking??
