1994 Volvo 8505T makes a buzzing noise intermittently driver side above 35 mph the noise is constant (doesn't buzz faster when accelerating) until 75 mph then the noise goes away when decelerating back down sometimes it starts back buzzing. Does not buzz at idle or when shut down the engine. The pcv system is okay; no smoke from dip stick, plastic glove on oil filler neck doesn't inflate, plus no oil under the spark plug cover. Any ideas? Thanks.

I had a friend had an odd noise at speed that he cold not find.

His dealer applisd tape on things that they suspected until the found the cause.

Their tapings included taping openings like ihe front of the passenger door window area.

I favor electrical tape as it is easy to remove without leaving parent residue.

You should also check the plastic strip over the windshield.

I actually lost one on the highway.

With our three 850s I put a strip of electrical tape, half on the strip and half on the windshield. Pull a length off the roll and let any stretch relax before you apply the strip. I did mine in three sections.

Had the windshield piece replaced earlier but after fixing the trim piece that Erwin suggested thee noise came back but not as loud. Ended up being the trim piece that runs from the beginning of the A pillar to the D pillar (wagon) the flex seal sprayed on was come loose & at speeds over 45 mph a buzzing noise. Thanks to you and Erwin for the help.

I had this on my '95 855T. Looked everywhere. It was the short piece of side moulding on the front fender, just in front of the door. The fasteners were getting loose and the moulding would buzz and squeak in the wind! A folded piece of business card stuck behind it stopped the noise till I got the right fasteners.
