1997 855 T5 Air Conditioning 850 1997

183,000 miles on the clock. Runs great and I do all the maintenance. The AC will cool for 5-10 minutes and then blow warm air. This cold air/warm air cycle will repeat if I turn off the AC for 15 minutes or so.

I have no experience with AC systems. I could put refrigerant into the system, but I don't want to feed a leak if there is one.

All recommendations are appreciated.

Note that when you first turn on the AC the compressor clutch engages and the center part of the pulley turns with the outer ring. When the system starts blowing warm air is the center part of the pulley still turning (indicating a good clutch)?

Also, when it starts blowing warm air does the volume of air blowing from the vents seem to diminish?
