My ignition lock got jammed up a while ago an I couldn't unlock the steering wheel so I parked it for a while. Today I finally replaced the lock and the switch at the same time. Its all together now and the wheel moves and the engine cranks properly with the key but the engine won't start.

Is there some module relearning that has to be done with a diagnostic tool? If so, is there some combination of software/hardware that I can get to do this that is affordable or is a dealer service I need?

So are you now using a new key? If so there may need to be some programming performed in order for the key to be accepted by the car.

As soon as I read this, I realized I was using the key stub the locksmith provided and not my actual chipped key. As soon as i tried the actual key, it worked right away. Thanks for asking the question! I'm back on the road again.
