What I love about new to me Volvos V70-XC70 2007

Finished the exhaust cam sensor problem, all is well. Then I drove for 30 miles or so and get a (ABS sensor, readings out of tolerance.) Is this a fairly normal problem with the XC brake system, or should I be looking elsewhere?

In response to your stuck screws in the head V70-XC70 2007

I had the same problem when I bought my 850 from a lame DIY owner.

The steel screws into the head to access the plugs and the sparkplugs
    were partially seized.
It was a PIA to get them out safely, and once out,
    the threads needed re-tapping.
You use the same 14 X 1.25mm tap for the plugs and the O2 sensor,
a handy item for your tool box.

Always apply hi-nickle/hi temp never-seez to spark plugs and steel screws going into aluminum to avoid this misery down the line. Anti-seize is your friend.
Hint: You'll wish the PO used anti seize on the thermostat screws and of course
    the always stubborn O2 sensor.

    Cheers, Bill

Had to drill one of those monster screws out. There was no replacing it as I could not get a good enough grip on the left over screw stub.

The corrosion of steel screws into aluminum is ugly.
A multi-day or week soak with MMO / Mystery Oil (not to be confused with
other stuff, some merely solvents) can help remove without the
ugly BS of drilling out busted screws. MMO needs time to work.
There's nothing easy about "Easy Outs".
After the long MMO soak and it still is frozen put heat if you can.
Sometimes a single sharp heavy hit straight on with a drift
can break a screw loose too.
Always use discretion, and use Never-Seez when re-assembling.
Do retap those buggered threads afterwards.

I think I'll go out now and put a little MMO on the thermostat screws for good luck.
They are notorius for being stubborn. Maybe an all winter soak
        will make them cooperative? :-)

        Cheers, Bill

Use Allen head water pump bolts for the thermostat when you have to replace it. Anti-seize is good too.
