I want da best, feel like driving fast 850

I need to know what is the best set of tires to put on my 850, its a beautiful looking station wagon glt and seems to like going fast (must be my imagination). I have heard not to put cheap tires on, it would be inviting trouble. any suggestions????

I have a set of Michelin Pilot XGTZ 205-55-16 on my t-5, so far they seem solid at all the way to 75++. Really sticky on dry and wet pavement, on tight curves the pucker factor slows me down before I reach the tires limit. I recommend, but they are expensive, aprox 170 at costco (price club).

U'd be surprised but I have a set of Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s on my brick and they're great! Reasonably priced and ZR rating, so far took them to 110mph and the track real well. Check out tirerack.com for latest pricings, you'd be pleased.

Michilin Pilot H's work well on our wagon. It is an H rated
tire, though. Good all around tire. About $104 each.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE730s on my T5. Speed rated, handle
like you would not believe (your driving skills will probably be
peaked out before the tire limits are hit), pretty good ride. Won't
last more then 25K miles, though (I suspect). About $150 each.

the oem 16" michelin pilot h's are ok...not the best. they tend to squeal a bit, especially the inside tire when exiting a corner, plus they're outdated. might wanna try something newer.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE 730s are available through Tirerack.com in 205/50 16 (for my wagon) for about $100 each. They'll drop ship to one of their installers in your area. In my case, they'll ship to three different installers near me (2 to 5 miles) who will install and balance for under $20. I called the local Firestone shop and out the door, one tire mounted is $183. About a $250 difference for four tires. I just bought the car and the tires are pretty new. If they only last about 25k I'll be looking for something a little longer wearing. I don't really need the performance they offer.
