Brake lights won't light. please help! 850 1995

Hi all,
I noticed tonight that my brake lights are not lighting up anymore when the brake pedal is depressed. I checked the fuse (#12 a 10a fuse) and it is fine (not blown or anything). I don't think the bulbs are blown out as there is not any indication on the dashboard of a blown light (as I have seen in the past) and all of the lights are not lighting up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Check the brake pedal switch. Its under the brake. You can clean it and it should work for a few days. Only real option is to fix it. Should cost well under 50 dollars and less than an hour.

Hi, thank you for the advice. When you say it is "under the brake" where exactly do you mean? Do I yave to take off that panel under the dashboard first? Thank you.

Same problem i had 2 months ago. dealer said 45 for the part 45 for labor.. told him, i think i can install it..only took 5 minutes.. the switch has two "wings" on it.. squeeze them, pull the switch out, unhook the wiring harness, put it on the new switch and pop it in..piece o' cake..
