How do I unhook Trans cooler lines? V70-XC70 2000

It is time to flush the slush box. As looked at the automatic transmission cooler lines tonight, in anticipation of the up coming event, I noticed that the hookups from the lines to the radiator at different than my 97 GLT. Instead of the silver colored clip arrangement they have line crimped onto what looks like might be a fitting and that fitting disappears into the radiator through a thin (1mm) flexible green plastic retainer or seal kind of deal.

How do I disconnect the transmission lines?
What is the green thing?

And I thought this would be easy (famous last words)

Thanks for your help

Kele’

There are 2 green tabs. Squeeze them and pull/jiggle the line out of the fitting in the rad.

      Perfect!!
Thanks, now I await the Amsoil fluid.
      Is it possible to:
      1. Unhook the top line insert tube/funnel to fill
      2. Insert a tight fitting drain/outlet hose into the radiator hole

and do the flush that way?

Thanks again on the green tab thing,

      Kele'
