Nitto Nt 450 Extreme Tires 850 1995

I am Considering getting 215/14ZR-71 Nitto NT 450 Extreme Tires mounted on undetermined 17" wheels. Has anybody had any experience with these tires? I am trying to keep cost as low as possible. Any other recommendations?

I have 17" NT 450's on my S40 and absolutely love them. Low road noise and for a 300 treadwear tire, extreme dry grip and very good grip in the wet. Can't wait to get a set of "R" spec 450's and hit the track. I have a set of 205-55-ZR16's on order to put on my 244 this spring. I tried Kumho's Ecstas and found them to transmit a fair amount of road noise. Grip was on par with the Nittos. Yoko's are always a good choice. Pirelli's are waaaaaaay overpriced. Ran all sorts of Bridgestones over the years and never had any problems.

I have been running Nitto 450s for awhile (replaced Dunlops). They stick well, but not as well as the Dunlops in wet conditions. Good tire for the money. I'm am running 205/55-15s, not 17 inch rims.

I'm currently on my second set of Sumitomo HTRZIIs. No problems... I've also heard good things about Kumho's Ecstas 712 (or something like that) but DO NOT use it in snow. It's absolute crap.

u might wanna check out both tirerack.com and tires.com. tirerack.com has more mainstream tires. tires.com provides a wider selection of low cost brands. it is 215/40 right? there are nan-king (chinese i think), kuhmo (korean), nitto, and dunlop sport w-10. all below 100.

Oops, not good with new software, my 2 cents is this, for the money and performance go with Kumho ectsa's, they are great price and great money, ask anyone on here, I have a set on my 850 as well as my audi, and liked them so much I put a set of 17's on my girlfriends jetta and so i have a 15",16" and 17" kumho tires and love them ,JP

I originally had pirellis on my 850, but switched to Khumo ecsta supra's 205-45-17 at $97 each and get approximately 20-25k miles from a set. They ride very smooth and run through rain much better than the pirellis at $165 each.

Thanks for all the responses. I may end up going with The Kumho's instead. I'll just see when I get ready for them. BTW Tirerack.com is great. You can actually see what the wheels look like on the car.

While you’re at it check out the Bridgestone RE 730. They’re a phenomenal tire!
