Space Saver spare required with third seat? 850 1996

I recently purchased a 1996 850R wagon and have also purchased a 3rd seat, to be installed next week. My 850R has a full-size 17" spare tire. Do I need to purchase a space saver spare to use with the third seat?

Yes. The seat belt catch intrudes on the spare tire space. Also, a full size spare won't allow the seat to close.
