Help replace lighted visor? 850 1996

Greetings!

I'm in the process of replacing my driver's side visor with one a purchased from Erie Volvo, and was surprised by the length of the electrical connector for the light! Has anyone done this already, and if so do you have any words of wisdom for me? I'm assuming that I'll have to remove the trim piece that goes around the door - how would I do this?

    I did replace one before. I just cut the wire at top of the headliner and spliced in the new wires to it. I thought that it would be a pain to try and pull the old wire and insert the new wires. Just cut and splice and stuff the excess in the headliner.
