Diagnostic codes 850 1994

I'm having trouble retrieving codes on my 1994 850, not sure if it is cockpit error on my part. Would like to verify my procedure, does anyone know of where the procedure is documented. Looking for an occasional ( once every month or two ) no start, appears like motor is flooding out, need to crank excessively to get it started. Thanks in advance.

Look in volvospeed.com maintenance. Instructions are there for retieving and clearing codes.
