What I mean to say is that sometimes, the light inside the gearshifter mechanism (you know, the box with the P-N-R-D letters on it) doesn't come on.. But when I give it a quick slap on its side the light turns on everytime. Weird huh?

Well tell me what you think!!! I think it's a mouse or something got in there and sleeps on the connectors until I wake him up, then he gets off and it works.

I’ve got the same problem. I really haven’t explored the issue, I kind of like the dark consol. I don’t however see how it could be the bulb. Perhaps I’m mistaken but a bulb either works or it doesn’t there is no well yes sometimes. Mine will be out for months at a time, and then all of a sudden, I look down, and there it is. The P-R-N-D-3-L all lit up like Christmas.

There must be a faulty connector, or perhaps the bulb holder itself has issues.

Any more thoughts would be appreciated.
